What are your hours of operation?

We are open from 10:00 AM -5:00 PM Saturday - Wednesday. Closed Thursdays & Fridays.

Last entry to the museum is 4:00 PM and we close promptly at 5:00 PM. 

Do I need to purchase tickets in advance?

Tickets do not need to be purchased in advance! Walk-in guests are absolutely welcome. 

How much is admission?

Adult Admission: $10

Youth (under 18): Free

MHAA Members: Free

Do you have an annual membership?

Yes! Members of Monterey History and Art Association have many perks, including unlimited visits to the Stanton Center galleries. Click here for information on becoming a member today!

Can I leave and re-enter?

Admission is good for the entire day, so you may re-enter on the day of purchase as long as you are back by last entry at 4:00 pm.

Do you offer any discounts or museum reciprocity?

We offer a 20% discount for our Senior friends over 65 and for Military members with valid ID.

CalFresh/SNAP Members receive a discounted admission at the door with a valid photo ID and SNAP benefit card.

We currently do not have reciprocity with other museums or organizations.

What is your refund policy?

All tickets are final sale and cannot be exchanged or refunded. In the case of an event cancellation due to circumstances on our end, a full refund will be automatically issued to each patron on the credit card used to purchase.

By purchasing a ticket to this event, you agree to this purchase policy. Before purchasing your tickets, we urge you to confirm the title, time, and location of the event. The last entry to the museum is at 4:00 PM with doors closing promptly at 5:00 PM. 

Where is the Stanton Center?

We are located in the Custom House Plaza near Historic Old Fisherman’s Wharf.

Where do I park?

Parking is available at the Waterfront Parking Lot at the intersection of Del Monte Avenue and Washington Street. Additional parking is available at the East and West Parking Garages located at Del Monte Avenue and Tyler Street.

Exit on Del Monte Avenue. Stay in the left lane. Continue straight on Del Monte (do not exit through tunnel). Proceed until Tyler Street, turn left and enter either garage (one on left, the other on right).

Are you still a Dali Museum?

No. The Dali Museum left in September 2022 and we currently showcase historical art and artifact's from Monterey's history.

Where did the Dali art go?

Monterey History and Art has 20-30 pieces on display currently, but the majority of the exhibit was reclaimed by the private collector in 2022.

Where did the Lighthouse lens go?

In 2018, the Point Sur Fresnel Lens was reclaimed by Point Sur Lightstation.
